Obituary

Robert Lynn Bryant, 65, of Calhoun, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, following several years of declining health. Robert was born in Augusta, Georgia on November 17, 1952; he was the son of the late Weyman C. and Estelle Duvall Bryant. Robert was a veteran of The United States Navy. After his service in the Navy, he worked as a welder for Case New Holland and Kobelco.
Robert is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Lucy Sheriff Bryant; his children, Christopher Allen Nicholson, Tabatha Lynn Bryant Roach, Charity Faith Bryant Payne and her husband, Joey, Tracy Nicholson Sallies and her husband, Nolan; his sister, Rita Jennings; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Drena Bryant, and Lance and Jennifer Bryant; his grandchildren, Madison Roach, Megan Roach, Caylee Payne, Cassie Ramza, Jacob Ramza, Aaron Nicholson, and Tristan Nicholson; his great-grandson, Hunter Fowler; his nieces, Amber Maddox and Lauren Bryant; his nephews, Ryan Bryant and Will Bryant; other relatives and friends.
The Bryant family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Committal, with United States Navy Honors, will follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jerome Silvers and Rev. Kenny Sheriff will officiate. Pallbearers are Clyde Garland, Alan Garland, Todd Smith, Dale Phifer, Douglas Shaw, and Wayne Banks. Honorary pallbearers are Odis Sheriff, Ryan Bryant, and Will Bryant.
