Mr. Robert "Steve" Cooper, age 35, of Plainville passed away Friday, August 10, 2007. He was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on July 22, 1972, son of Alan Ray Cooper and Glenda Gail Shoupe Bishop. Mr. Cooper was employed by Mohawk Industries, and attended the Fellowship Baptist Church in Plainville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Brandon Cooper.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Theresa Lynn Brown Cooper; two sons; Christopher Steven Cooper and Kenneth Wayne Cooper; two brothers; Alan Cooper, and Junior Cooper, of Crossville, TN; a sister, Sue Cooper of Crossville; mother-in-law, Charlotte Brown; step-mother, Ethel Cooper of Crossville; step-father Wayne Bishop of Plainville, GA; step-sisters; Sylvia Pugh and Linda Liberty of Crossville, Michelle Alvarado of Nevada and Jennifer Guthensburger of Indiana; step-brothers; Clyde, Steve, Ronnie, and Marvin Davenport, all of Crossville,; Scott Bishop of Indiana and Kevin Davenport of Ohio, and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Steve" Cooper will be conducted Monday, August 13 at 2:00pm from the Sugar Valley Baptist Church, with Rev. Mitch Phillips and Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Junior Cooper, Allen Cooper, Bobby Buhl, John Campbell, Steve Silvers, and Tommy Hutchinson. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening after 6:00pm.
