Obituary

Robert Terry Martin, 65, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Advent Health Gordon. He was born on July 12, 1957, in Dalton, Georgia to the late Robert and Ada Leola Spence Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Spence and Roger Martin; sisters, Brenda Martin, Gevena Bennett, Joyce Strickland; Marcella Serrett, and Phyllis Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Betty Sue Dover Martin; sons and daughters-in-law, Joshua D. Dover (Keleigh Dyer) and Rex J. Howard (Lecia Myers); daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Kevin Morrison, Amanda Martin Campbell (Robert), and Marsha Martin Carroll (Chuck); brother, Timmy "Louis" Martin; sister, Kathy Martin; grandchildren, Audrey Carroll (Scott Ward), Kevin Morrison, Ansley Morrison, Joshua Dover, Alec Dyer ( Brittanie), Austin Owens (Sierra) and Alex Owens, Ian Carroll (Ginny), Conner Carroll ( Becky Kitchens), and Alyssa Carroll; great grandchildren, Salem Harper and Aslan Sage Ward and Kaiden and Kynslee Owens; in-laws, Deborah Noland, Kathy Hixon (Charles), Allen Dover, Glenda Bailey (Horace), Donald Dover (Michelle), and Keshia Welch (Brannon); several nieces and nephews; special nephew and best friend, Mitchell Davis "Poochie" (Debbie).
To honor his wishes his body was cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour.
