Mr. Rocky Alvin Johnson, age 28 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008. He was born in Floyd County on December 22, 1979, son of Alvin and Nancy Johnson, and was a member of Mount Herman Baptist Church.

Rocky was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Roy Lee and Oudia Davis, and Nettie Dell Johnson.

Survivors include his parents, Alvin Leo and Nancy Etta Davis Johnson; a son, Logan Johnson; a daughter, Jasmine Johnson; a brother and sister-in-law, Dusty and Tiffany Johnson of Calhoun; a nephew, Jaden Johnson; his grandfather, Harry Leo Johnson; a special aunt and uncle, Judy and Billy Henson of Calhoun; special cousins, Aimee, Craig, and Jason Henson, Carolyn Robinson, and Chris Davis, all of Calhoun; an uncle and aunt, Charles Tillery and Uvonna Johnson and their children; the mother of his children, Tracy Hunter, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Rocky Alvin Johnson will be conducted Monday, November 24 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamar Beason officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Ricky McBee, Tony Elicker, Kenny Cash, Chris Davis, Chris Johnson, and William Greene. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday at 1:15pm. Honorary escorts will include D.L. and Bobbie Henson, Johnny Fowler, Jennifer Johnson, Chasity Greene, Jack and Marilyn Fowler, Albert and Barbara Edwards, Penny Haygood, and any and all friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
