Roger Deforrest Revels

Mr. Roger DeForrest Revels, age 62 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008.

Mr. Revels was born on August 5, 1946, son of the late Doyle and Mildred Little Revels. He was associated with National Automatic Sprinkler, and was a member of the UA #669. He was a member of Moss Memorial Baptist Church.

Mr. Revels is survived by his wife, Sonja Barnette Revels to whom he was married for 36 years; a daughter, Christina Williams and her husband Charles of Rome; a son, Joseph A. Revels and his wife Gina of Calhoun; and a grandchild, Emily Rose Williams. Sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Roger DeForrest Revels will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Joseph A. Revels and Rev. Greg Williams officiating. Singing will be arranged by the Moss Memorial Baptist Church Choir. Pallbearers serving will include Charlie Williams, Tony Holbrook, Ken Chapman, Dan Bohannon, Tim Ferguson and Lane Tow. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:15pm. Interment will follow the service in Gordon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday evening during the hours of 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
