Ronald Blankenship

Mr. Ronald Blankenship, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Gordon Health Care. He was born in Fulton County on September 28, 1948, son of John William Blankenship and Ruby Clayton Blankenship.

During his lifetime, he was employed with Warehouse Groceries and Rexham. He loved to walk in the outdoors, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Clayton Eidson of Calhoun; a son, Ronald Ray Blankenship; a daughter, Debbie Blankenship, both of Marietta; two sisters, Jackie Underwood and her husband Tony of Ranger, and Debbie Williams of Waleska; and grandchildren, Marisol, Tatiana, Adrianna, Benjamin, Nicholas, Frankie, Angel, and Faye. Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Blankenship will be conducted Friday, May 14th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Clayton, Rev. Brandon Herndon, and Rev. Keith Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Acworth at 4:00pm. Active pallbearers will include Michael Underwood, Charlie Daniel, Lonell Williams, Jimmy Eidson, Carl Eidson, and Bill Eidson. Chuck Clayton will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
