Ronald Taylor

Mr. Ronald D. (Ron) Taylor, age 60 of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at Erlanger Medical Center. He was born in Gordon County on August 22, 1953, son of the late Claude and Zora Bell Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Pvt. 2 Joel Taylor.

Ron was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Taylor of the home; three sisters and three sisters-in-law; godsons, Ron Norrell and Bart Markley; and special friend, Nora Lee Pickens.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ronald D. (Ron) Taylor will be held Sunday, February 9th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. William Roberts, Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Dwaine Shadix officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Marvin Tate, David Montgomery, Jason Henson, Larry Manly, Chase Bohannon, and Donnie White.

The Taylor family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

The family requests flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 300 W. Emery St., Ste. 3, Dalton, GA 30720.
