Mr. John Ronald “Ronnie” Clark, known by his family and friends as “Mouse,” age 76 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, August 15th, at his residence.
He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on June 9, 1948, the son of the late John Taylor Clark and Willie Belle Lewis Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Tate Clark, on July 8, 2024; sisters and brother-in-law Martha Jane “Pat” Phillips and her husband Arvel. and Jackie Edge; brother Ricky Clark; niece Rachael Tate; nephews Dewayne Goble and Casey Tate; and sister-in-law Ann Brock Tate.
He graduated from Calhoun High School in 1966, received his Associate's Degree at Dalton College, and graduated from Berry College in 1974, where he received his accounting degree. Before retirement, he was employed by Dow Chemical, O’jay Mills, Ron Dobbs Properties, and SCC in Rome, GA. He loved his family dearly, loved spending time outdoors, and was an avid Bass fisherman.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Clark Dobson, and her husband Bryan; grandchildren, Makaela Ranels and her husband Noah, Azlyn Jackson, Gavyn Jackson, Logan Dobson, and Kyndall Dobson; great-granddaughter, Ridley Ranels; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Richard Goble; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Camilla Langston; Randy and Sandy Tate, Calvin Tate along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and, other relatives.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 20th, at 11:00 AM from Echota Baptist Church. Pastor Lucas Butler will officiate, and Amy Phillips will provide the music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery, with Rev. Mitch Phillips conducting the graveside service. Pallbearers serving will include Bryan Dobson, Gavyn Jackson, Eric Tate, Michael Langston, and Darrin Langston.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 19th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
