Rosa Lee Pack

Mrs. Rosa Lee Pack, age 85, of Ranger, Georgia, passed away on December 25, 2006, at Calhoun Health Care, following several months of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on May 6, 1921, daughter of the late Luster and Lydia King Silvers. Mrs. Pack was a housewife and a member of Mount Carmel Church of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Pack, in 1977, and by six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include seven sons; J.L. Pack and his wife Glenna of Dutch Valley, Tennessee; Ford Pack, Larry Pack, Keith Pack and his wife Carla, all of Ranger; Hubert Pack and his wife Margie of Oakman; George Pack of Sonoraville; and Tony Pack and his wife Carolyn of Dayton, Tennessee. Three daughters; Faye Ralston of Dalton; Bonnie Walker of Calhoun, and Barbara Smith and her husband Larry of Oakman. Twenty six grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, one expected great-great grandchild, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Pack will be conducted at 2:00pm Thursday, December 28, from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Wilburn Childers and Rev. Gay Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. M.L. Silvers conducting graveside services. Active pallbearers will include Daniel Pack, Chris Walker, Dewey Pack, Andy Pack, Joseph Pack, John Pack, and Jeff Pack. Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Walker, Matt Craig, Josh Grizzle, Jake Grizzle, Nathan Silvers, and Marvin Pack. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday after 5:00pm.
