Ms. Judy Roxanne Fountain, age 58 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at her residence. She was born on December 14, 1955, daughter of Crystal Long Fountain and the late Lloyd Fountain.
Roxanne was a 1974 graduate of Calhoun High School. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1977 with a B.A. in Psychology, and obtained a Master of Education, Guidance and Counseling, in 1979. She was employed as a therapist, specializing in juvenile care and crisis intervention. More recently she worked as a social worker with Highland Rivers, and as a private caregiver for children and elderly adults.
Survivors include three sons, Blakely Lamar McConnell of San Francisco, CA, and John Alexander Anderson and Alexander James Anderson, both of Marietta, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Joel Lipton of Florida; a granddaughter, Elma Alice Kuster; aunts and uncles, Elsie Fountain, Emma Fountain, Tammer Mullinax, and Charles Long; nieces, Nikki Roberts Fain and her husband Brannon, and Ashley Lipton; and great nieces and nephews, Madeline Murray, Jackson Murray, and Reilly Fain.
A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Judy Roxanne Fountain will be held Thursday, May 22nd at 2:00 PM from Trinity Baptist Church, 1170 Rome Road SW, Calhoun, GA, with Rev. Eddie Brannon, Rev. Bob Skelton, and family and friends officiating.
The Fountain family will receive friends at the Trinity Baptist Church Student Center Thursday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
