Roy Edward Pierce Jr

Roy Edward Pierce Jr. age 34, of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born in Floyd County on July 31, 1972, son of Roy Edward Pierce, Sr. and Glynese Hancock Pierce. He was employed as a Family Consultant with Creative Community Services, and attended Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Homer and Mae Pierce and Clemon and Berta Lee Hancock.

Survivors include his parents, Roy and Glynese Pierce; two sisters and brother-in-laws; Cynthia and Michael Hooker and Sabrina and Chris Stone all of Calhoun. Two nieces; Amanda Whitener and Tammy Pierce, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Roy Edward Pierce Jr. will be conducted Wednesday July 18, 2007 at 1:00p.m. from the chapel of the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Stephens and Rev. Sammy Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers serving will include Jason Sanborn, Jason Bourg, Rodney Turner, Gary Hancock, Joey Puckett and Scott Atkins. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday after 5:00p.m.
