Ruby Dean

Mrs. Ruby Franks Dean age 87 of Resaca, passed away Wednesday August 9, 2006 in Centre, Alabama following several months of declining health. She was born in Whitfield County on December 30, 1918 daughter of the late Tom Franks and Ella Smith. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her husband H.E. (Esco) Dean in 1979 and by a special granddaughter Karen Jordan.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law; Grady and Essie Burns of Calhoun and Marvin Burns of Calhoun. One daughter; Katherine Jordan of Centre, Alabama. Two brothers; Clyde Franks of Resaca and Ralph Franks of Columbus, GA and by one sister Ruth Brown of Resaca. Sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, eleven great great-grandchildren and a special friend Mary Ruth Morgan also survives.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruby Franks Dean will be conducted Friday August 11, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Jeff, Janson, and Justin Jordon, Daniel Ghorley, Jeff and James Burns,

The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Thursday after 3:00 p.m.
