Ruby Jo Turner

Mrs. Ruby Jo Turner, age 81, of Calhoun passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born in Gordon County on December 23, 1932, daughter of the late Jasper Howard Pack and Lucy Mae Pack. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Turner, to whom she was married for 39 years; three brothers, Jim Pack, Carl Pack, and Herman Pack and his wife Clois Mae; and a sister, Betty Greene and her husband Colon. She was a member of Faith and Deliverance Church.

She leaves behind three sons, Larry Turner and his wife Carrie, Donald Turner, and Sammy Turner and his wife Tonya; two daughters JoAnn Bates and Sonia Rogers; three brothers, Troy and Dean Pack of Calhoun, Roy Pack and his wife Cathy of Smyrna, Randall Pack and his wife Joan of Calhoun; two sisters, Martha Silvers of Calhoun and Mary Fuller and her husband Charles of Calhoun; 12 grandchildren, Jenifer Walden, Scott Turner, Billy Turner, Jimmy Turner, Jason Turner, Tonia Combs, Tawana Stanley, Brandi Henderson, Samantha Rogers, Hailey Rogers, Kathren Johnston, and Donald Earl Turner Jr.; 26 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Jo Turner will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. David Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Crane Eater Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Scott Turner, Billy Turner, Jimmy Turner, Jason Turner, Patrick Silvers, and Brian Stanley. Honorary pallbearers will include Howard Pack and Lamar Turner.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and also on Friday after 10:00 AM.
