Ruby Mae Walker

Ruby Mae Walker, 66, of Calhoun departed this life, Wednesday evening May 6th at her residence surrounded by her loving family following several months of declining health.

Ruby was born in Tutwilder, Mississippi on July 19, 1948; she was the daughter of the late Bud and Ruby Gene Walker. Ruby was a nurse and was a member of the Sugar Valley Church of God.

Ruby is survived by her faithful and long time friend, Lee Robinson of Calhoun, three brothers and sister in laws, Lonnie and Sue Walker, of Resaca, William and Carmelita Walker, of Carthage, Tennessee, and Charles Walker, of Calhoun; her sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Tim Aldridge, of Sugar Hill, Georgia; her nieces, Merri, Stacy, Kelly, Courtney, Marissa; nephews, Andy, Chris, Jamie, and Matthew; nine great nieces and nephews, and a great-great niece.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Sugar Valley Church of God. Pastor Dwaine Shadix will officiate; music will be arranged by Brenda Holsomback. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Josh Young, Josh England, Terry Weldon, Matthew Aldridge, Wayne Aldridge, and Keith Patterson. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Reece, Tom Pickel, and Bill Talley.

The Family of Ruby Mae Walker will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
