Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Marie (Johns) Bryant, 72, of Calhoun, died Thursday, October 1st, 2020 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.
Please note that due to an unforeseen family circumstance, the funeral arrangements for Ruby Johns Bryant have been changed. The visitation at the family residence has been canceled.
The family will receive friends at the Church of God of Union Assembly after 2 PM on Sunday, October 4. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, October 5 at 1 PM from the church.
Burial will follow the service in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Her grandsons are pallbearers.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Calhoun, Georgia on June 29, 1948, daughter of the late Berry Wilson Johns and Cora Lee Goforth Johns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons; James Willis Hollingsworth, Ricky Hollingsworth, and Christopher Hollingsworth, sisters; Malisey Mae Dutton, Edna Lee Blake, Betty Katherine Freeman, Martha Dutton, Margaret Lewis, and Ruth Muse, two brothers; Leroy Johns and Wesley Johns.
Survivors include two daughters; Janice Marie (Levi) Nix and Tammy (Dewayne) Gibbs, one son; Jesse Hollingsworth, grandchildren; Joshua, Ashley, Hannah, Ruby, James III, Tina, Tonya, Katelynn, Waynie, Latrissa, Kayla, Christopher, Cody, Rebecca, Jesse, Jessica and Cameron along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and other relatives.
