Ruby Pearl Chastain

Mr. Ruby Pearl Chastain, age 87 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born on December 10, 1922 in Fulton County, daughter of the late John Grayson Bryant and Mollie Claude Stokes Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Chastain, and a son, Jerry Lee Chastain. Mrs. Chastain was a member of Echota Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Silvers; a son, Larry Chastain, both of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Jennifer Silvers and Kenny Chastain; and three great-grandchildren, Meadow Crowder, Josh Chastain and Jake Chastain.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Pearl Chastain will be conducted on Friday, January 22nd at 2:00pm from the Echota Baptist Church, with Rev. Phillip Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the Echota Baptist Church on Friday from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 2:00pm.
