Russell Wayne Woodward

Mr. Russell Wayne Woodward, born July 17, 1957, of Calhoun, GA died Monday, August 26, 2013 in Rome, GA after an extended illness. "Rusty", as he was known to his family and friends, was an avid hunter, fisherman, and musician.

Rusty's paternal grandparents were the late George B. and Minnie Holt Woodward of the Flexatile area, and then later of the Salacoa area. His maternal grandparents were the late Arthur and Meryl Craig of Carter's Quarter.

Rusty is survived by his mother, Barbara J. Coskrey of Calhoun; his father, James R. Woodward of Fairmount; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Patricia Woodward of Ranger; two grandchildren, Skyler and Briar Woodward; a sister and brother-in-law, Roxanne and Rick Carnes of Fairmount; a sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Michael Crowe of Cartersville; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Terry Coskrey of Martinez, GA; a step-brother and several step-sisters; a nephew, David Wormington of Acworth; and nieces, Melissa Brown Leonard of Hammond, LA, and Brandi Underwood of Cartersville, GA.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Russell Wayne "Rusty" Woodward will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM from the Salacoa Baptist Church.
