Ruth Bunch

Mrs. Ruth Queen Bunch age 88 of Gordon County passed away Saturday February 10, 2007. She was born in Plains, Georgia on July 16, 1918 daughter of the late Jim and Clara Harris Queen. Mrs. Bunch was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was retired from Georgia Tufters and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bunch was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, William E. Bunch and by one sister; Beulah McDougle, a son-in-law, Billy McClure and by a daughter-in-law, Janice Garrett Bunch.

Survivors include one daughter; Shirley McClure of Adairsville. Two sons: Robert (Bobby) Bunch of Calhoun and William (Buddy) Bunch and his wife Jewell of Adairsville. A special nephew Rayburn McDougle of Calhoun, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Queen Bunch will be conducted Tuesday February 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Concord Baptist Church with Bro. Sammy Allen, Bro. Denver Boling and Bro. Stinnett Ballew officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Fain Jordon conducting the graveside rites. Active pallbearers serving will include, Paul Bunch, Seth Bunch, James Bunch, John Barry, Shane McMahan and Samuel Brown. Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Smith, Brent Smith, Joey Payne, Roy Lee Chapman, Terry McDougle, Charles McDougle, Paul Pasley, Jared Bunch and Hayden Bunch.

Mrs. Bunch will be taken to Concord Baptist Church where the family will receive friends on Monday after 11:00a.m.
