Ruth Maxine Wessinger

Mrs. Ruth Maxine Wessinger, age 81 of Calhoun, passed away June 21, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Wessinger was born on October 17 ,1928 in Newark, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter Woodward Ryan and Ivanella Fern Hemsire Ryan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husbands, J.D. Smith and Frank Wessinger; a son, Leonard Smith; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Wessinger is survived by two sons, Danny Smith and his wife Jamie of Calhoun, and Larry Smith and his wife May of Camden, SC; a sister, Libby Ott; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the House of Prayer Baptist Church. Interment of her remains will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
