Ruth Roberts Wickham

Ruth Wickham, 73, of Nicklesville, died on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Floyd Medical Center.

Ruth was born in Whitfield County on June 1, 1941; she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Nola Acree Roberts. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Alton Wickham, in 2008; her step-son, Roger Wickham; her grandson Ronnie Witt; brothers, Terry Roberts, Bobby Roberts, Bud Roberts, and Gene Roberts. Before moving to Nicklesville four and one half years ago, Ruth spent fifty years in Eldon, Missouri. Locally, she attended Cove Baptist Church; in Missouri she was a member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church. Ruth retired from Cargill Inc.

Ruth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Tammy Wickham, and Kim and Christy Wickham; her step-daughter, Laurinda Rayhart; grandchildren, Doug Witt, Darin Witt, Vanessa James, Cody Wickham, Cassie Wickham, Lucia Graham, Lucas Graham, Jayden Douglas, Beau Wickham, Lance Green, Lacey Dunmire, Chelsey Kettle, Whitney Wickham, Sierra Wickham; great-grandchildren, Brayden Wickham, Kaeleigh Wickham, Travis Stark, Nora White, Kason Wickham, Lexi Green, Cali Green, Owen Dunmire, Hayley Kettle, Chase Hartgrove, Hunter Kettle, Talyn Clark, Jared Witt, Joseph Moore, Matthew Witt, Sara Witt, Jonathan Witt, Christopher Witt, Madison Witt, Mallory Witt, Aubryn Loggins, Jaylee Bollorn, Baine Wickham, Brady Schroeder, Presley Schroeder, and Aiden Campbell; great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee Witt, Kelsi Admire, Derrick Admire, and Ryatt Moore; her sisters, Betty Roberts Sisson, Mildred Roberts Smith, and Margaret Roberts Green; her brother, Jimmy Roberts; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will have a visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and the service will follow at 4:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Another funeral service and interment will be in Eldon, Missouri, at a later date.
