Sadie Katherine Henson

Sadie Katherine Henson 97 of Dupo, IL., Born December 16, 1910 in Fountain, IL., Died Wednesday May 28, 2008 at her residence.

Sadie lived in Dupo, IL. for 75 years. Sadie was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL., the quilter's group, women's guild, bible study, & the home extension. She was a licensed practical nurse until retirement in 1975. She was very proud to have been the Grand Marshall of the Centennial Parade in Dupo in 2007.

Sadie was preceded in death by her husband whom she married June 10, 1934: John D. Henson, her parents: Theodor & Louisa, nee Ludwig, Schellhardt, her brothers & sisters: Jake Schellhardt, Oscar Schellhardt, Emil Schellhardt, Otto Schellhardt, Elnore Leister, Fredia Muehlhauser, & Annie Rusterberg.

Sadie is survived by her children: J. Donald (Marlyn) Henson Sr. of Columbia, IL., David T. (Carol) Henson of Mt. Vernon, IL., & Robert L. (Joyce Ann) Henson of Columbia, IL., her grandchildren: Dr. DeeAnn Stroop, J.D. Henson Jr. Ltc. AF., Karri Mize, Rev. Mike Henson, Suzanne Teske, Wendy Hedin, Janelle Moore, Julie Nelson, & Ryan Henson, she is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. A
