Samuel Clarence Dickerson

Mr. Samuel Clarence (Sam) Dickerson, age 53 of Calhoun, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Fulton County, GA on October 10, 1960, son of Vida Mae Williams and the late Charles Leroy Dickerson.

Sam was a Civil War enthusiast, and an avid Stephen King novel reader. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with family and his adored grandchildren. He had been employed with Beaulieu Corporation in Calhoun.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Tina Craig Dickerson of the home; mother, Vida Mae Williams of Adairsville; three daughters, Addie Burn of Chatsworth, Angela Dickerson of Calhoun, and Scarlett Dickerson of Plainville; a brother, Chuck Dickerson of Murfreesboro, TN; a sister, Rosemary Shuman of Fruitville, AL; and five grandchildren, Shelby Lula Cole, Lee Fowler, Trenton Fowler, Bo Burns, and Zoe Burns. Nieces, nephews, special friend David Evans, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Samuel Clarence (Sam) Dickerson will be held Friday, February 14th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jason Cole, Joe Fowler, Jessie Leonard, Craig Anderson, Michael Peace, and Tyler Peace. These gentlemen are requested to assemble at the funeral home Friday at 2:15 PM.

The Dickerson family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 3:00 PM.
