Sandra Raper Taylor, 57, of Jacksonville, FL died on Sunday, April 26, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born in Gordon County on May 14, 1957, daughter of the late William Wade Raper Sr. and Shirley Gallman Raper.
Sandra was apart of the 1975 graduating class of Red Bud School, where she was crowned Homecoming Queen. She had a degree in marketing and design from the American College of Applied Arts which she utilized in being a sales manager and representative for numerous companies.
Survivors include her fiancAC., Zlate Sipinkoski; a son, Christopher Stewart Taylor of Houston, TX (Danielle) ; two daughters, Ana Sipinkoski and Monika Sipinkoski; a brother William Wade Raper Jr. of Ranger; three sisters, Patricia Ann Kessler of Alabama, Jackie Lee Sullivan of Ranger, and Donna Lynn Crump of Calhoun. Many dear friends and great nieces and nephews.
Sandra made the decision to come back home to spend the final chapter of her life with her family and lifelong friends. She returned to her close friend's home, Leslie DePerro who owns a caregiving company and with the support of Patricia Raper (sister) and Michelle DuPree (best friend), the four of them set out to make sure the last leg of her journey be filled with love and laughter. Visitors poured in sharing their "Sandra" stories and laughing alongside of her. She stated that she never realized how much she was actually loved and that coming home and spending this time with her friends and family was the most amazing time of her life.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Erwin Hill Church of God with Dr. James Shope and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Erwin Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chad Kesler, Adam Sullivan, Blake Sullivan, Clint Baker, Richie Richardson, and Richard Milshap. Honorary Pallbearers are Monty Makanow and Jake Crump.
The Taylor family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
The Raper and Taylor Family would like to thank Care At Home and their entire staff for the wonderful care they gave Sandra, and for going above and beyond anyone's expectations. The dignity and respect you showed our sister was amazing and so appreciated.
