Sandy Broome Hendrix

Sandy Broome Hendrix, 43, of the Dutton Community, went peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and friends, following a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Floyd County on September 25, 1973, daughter of Charlotte Rose and the late Donnie Broome. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Paw Paw, Pat Dutton; and her mother-in-law, Juanita Hendrix.
Sandy was a special person who touched the lives of all who met her. She was always willing to help anyone in need, and loved everyone she met. Although she was a mother to five children, she was a Mom to countless others.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Greg Hendrix; her five children, Lauren Hendrix, Taylor Hendrix, Holli Hendrix, Breanna Dutton Hendrix, and Jesse Hendrix; and her grandsons, Kellin Hendrix and Ezra Sierra, who were her heart. She is also survived by her mother, Charlotte Rose; Granny, Carol Dutton; father-in-law, Clinton Hendrix; step-mother, Tammy Broome; sisters and brothers, Ashley Reed, Mandy Reed, Madison Chapman, Myra and Ryan Ingle, and Derek and April Broome; sisters-in-law, Charles and Charlene Bramlett, and Karen Hendrix; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bean and Katie Springfield, and Mike and Rian Stevens.
Services to celebrate the life of our beloved Sandy will be held Tuesday, August 15th at 2:00 PM from Plainview Baptist Church in Adairsville, GA, with Rev. Randy Jackson and Rev. George Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Bean Springfield, Mike Stevens, Jason Brown, Chris Chaney, Dalton Stevens, and Logan Chaney.
The Hendrix family will receive friends at Plainview Baptist Church on Monday, August 14th at 5:30 PM.
