Mrs. Sheila Kay Rigney, age 42 of Plainville, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her residence following six months of declining health. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 15, 1968, daughter of Glenn and Margie Lay Douglas.

Mrs. Rigney was employed by Calhoun City Schools, and was a member of the Calhoun Community Church. She was an avid motorcyclist.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Rickey Darrell Rigney of the residence; two sons, Richard Scott Rigney and Joshua Aaron Rigney, both of Plainville; her parents, Glenn and Margie Douglas of Plainville; a brother and sister-in-law, David Anthony and Mary Douglas of Chatsworth; and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sheila Kay Rigney will be conducted Friday, November 5th at 3:00pm from the Calhoun Community Church, with Pastor Jerry Rice and Rev. David Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include David Smallwood, Joey Young, Joe Don Gravitt, Eddie Perez, Robert Edmondston, and Roger Scott. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Friday at 2:15pm. Honorary pallbearer will be Alex Smallwood.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
