Mrs. Shelia Juanita Hunter, age 54 of Calhoun, died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health. She was born in LaFayette, GA on May 1, 1959, daughter of the late James and Beatrice Thompson.
She leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Robert Sewell Hunter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Coby and Ashley Thomas, and James "Tommy" and Stephanie Hunter, all of Calhoun; two daughters, Misty Long and her husband Rob of Chatsworth, and Joann Hunter; two brothers, Wayne Carroll of Cedar Bluff, AL and Alan Carroll of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tim Dennison of LaFayette; and grandchildren, Hannah Reeves, M'lia Reeves, Alayna Reeves, Alexis Long, Jacob Long, Seth Long, Collee Thomas, and Karma Thomas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelia Juanita Hunter will be conducted Tuesday, August 13th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Bradley officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
The Hunter family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
