Obituary
Shelley Snopek Lipsey Stailey, 49, of Ranger, GA, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her home, following an extended illness. She was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on February 13, 1969, daughter of Ralph H. and Sharon Lee Smith Snopek.
Shelley was a Special Education teacher for Calhoun City Schools.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, John W. Stailey; her children, Anna Orme, Alicia Newton, Michael Stailey, Tasha Stailey, Heather Stailey, Ryan Stailey, Andrew Stailey, Alyssa Stailey, Rianna Stailey, Carli Stailey, Hunter Stailey, Nicholas Stailey, and Emma Stailey; sixteen grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Pam Snopek; a very special niece and nephew, Dr. Lindsey Snopek and Kyle Snopek; and very special friends, Theresa Bagley, Debbie Fightmaster, and Tracy Hunter. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives also survive.
Services to honor the life of Shelley Snopek Lipsey Stailey will be held Saturday, November 17th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Jason Hawkins officiating. Music will be arranged by Iris Parker. A private burial will follow on the family farm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 16th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Camp New Adventure or Gordon County Special Olympics, with both addresses P.O. Box 337, Resaca, GA 30735.
