Mrs. Shelly Bowling Chambers, age 31 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009. She was born in Floyd County on June 20, 1977, daughter of the late Melvin Bowling and Linda Thomas Bowling. Shelly was a member of Reeves Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Louise Thomas.
Survivors include a son, Dustin Chambers; her mother and step-father, Linda and Richard Brookshire of Calhoun; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelly Bowling Chambers will be conducted Friday at 2:00pm, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Keith Brookshire, Mitchell Landress, Greg Landress, Jim Burns, Bud Faulkenberry, and Gary West. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Friday at 1:30pm. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
