Sheryl Ann Whitmire

Sheryl Ann Whitmire, age 61 of Adairsville, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Gordon Hospital following an extended illness.

Sheryl was born on October 17, 1949 in San Diego, CA, daughter of the late Thomas Melton Whitmire and Theo Mae Kariger Whitmire.

She was retired from Walmart bakery, and was of the Baptist faith. Sheryl loved being with her family and friends.

Survivors include three sisters, Linda Buttram and her husband Anthony of Adairsville, Debbie Bulkey and her husband Rob of Centre, AL, and Donna Whitmire of Jonesboro; and two brothers, Michael Whitmire and his wife Patty of Marietta, and Steven Whitmire and his wife Becky of Rockmart. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Sheryl Ann Whitmire will be conducted Saturday, August 13, at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. Stephen Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
