Shirley Ann Dutton

July 29, 1941 — February 23, 2008

Mrs. Shirley Ann Dutton, age 67 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Gordon County on July 29, 1941, daughter of the late Prince Albert and Gladys Bright Gallman. Mrs. Dutton was retired from the Department of Family and Children's Services, and was a member of the Erwin Hill Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Gallman.

Survivors include a son, William Wade Raper, Jr.; four daughters, Sandra J. Taylor of Naples, Florida, Patricia Ann Kesler, Jackie Lee Sullivan, and Donna Lynn Crump, all of Calhoun; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Robert Stanfield, Ruby and Grady Tinch, and Ann and Donald Gallman, all of Calhoun; eight grandchildren, Clinton Baker, Christopher Taylor, Adam Sullivan, Joseph Chad Kesler, Monty Makarow, Blake Sullivan, Hannah Walraven, and Jacob Crump; and a sister-in-law, Carol Watson and her husband Pete.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Dutton will be conducted Monday, February 25 at 2:00pm, from the Erwin Hill Church of God, with Pastor James Shope, Pastor Jimmie Timms, and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Dwayne Gallman, Anthony Gallman, Brent Gallman, James Stanfield, Tim Fuller, and David Clark. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday after 5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Dutton's name to the American Cancer Society. Family owned and operated Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home is conducting the funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Dutton, of Calhoun.
