Shirley Jean Whitaker

Mrs. Shirley Jean Whitaker, age 72 of Calhoun, Georgia; died Friday, November 10, 2006 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following declining health.

Mrs. Whitaker was born on August 17, 1934 in Sayre, Oklahoma; daughter of the late Wade and Allie Mae Doster Brewer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mason Richard Snow. Although dealing with many health problems, Mrs. Whitaker was always there when you needed her, and was graciously kind to others. She served Jehovah and was very happy doing so.

Mrs. Whitaker is survived by four sons; Richard Snow, Mason Snow, Bryan Snow, and Joshua Snow, all of Texas. Three daughters; Connie Snow and Leemae Snow of Texas; and Doris Snow of Calhoun, Georgia. One sister; Pauline McMinn and two brothers; Vernon Brewer; and Sidney Brewer all of Texas. Fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services for Mrs. Shirley Jean Whitaker will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Tom Allison offering the funeral discourse. The family request flowers be omitted. Online condolences may be offered at www.maxbrannonandsons.com
