Obituary

Shirley Kaye Casey, 70, of Rome, Georgia died Tuesday, October 13, 2020. She was born on March 16, 1950 in Rome, Georgia to the late James Wheeler and Dura Ann Salmon Sutherland. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Burns; sisters, Brenda Sutherland, Glenda Faye Hopkins, and Linda Sutherland; great grandchild, Kristian Windsor.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. She will be missed dearly by the ones who loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Louie Gene Casey; son, Shane Burns; daughter and son-in-law, Stephaine and Danny Wine; grandchildren, Kayla and Manuel Santos, and Kristian, Meagan, and Michael Gossett, and Telena Hill and Jarrett Hill; greatgrandchildren, Stephen Windsor, Zorin Windsor, and Braleigh Gossett. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Kristian Windsor is our angel and Stephen Windsor is our miracle.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The graveside service will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM from the graveside at East View Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Billy Hopkins, Andy Lambert, Jeremy Jones, Michael Gossett, Manuel Santos, and Jesse Morris
