Stephens Whittiemore

Mrs. Dreamlee Stephens Whittiemore, age 76 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center following three months of illness.

Mrs. Whittiemore was born on May 27, 1935 in Coshocgon, Ohio, daughter of the late Claude and Hattie Dolen Stephens. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Coolidge Whittiemore; a daughter, Joann Parrish; two sisters, Ella Klancher and Mildred Caplinger; and five brothers, Dester Stephens, Chester Stephens, Billy Stephens, Eugene Stephens and Jimmy Stephens.

Survivors include a daughter, Claudia Andrews of Calhoun; a sister, Jane Benson of Resaca; a brother, Kenneth Stephens of Chatsworth; three grandchildren, Denise Logan, Charles Graham and Steven Graham; and four great grandchildren, Jacob Cheeks, Mathew Shephard, Brandon Logan and Alyssa Graham. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dreamlee Stephens Whittiemore will be conducted Sunday at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmie Timms officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday evening between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm.
