Steve Patterson

December 31, 1954 — June 29, 2010

Mr. Steve Patterson, age 55 of Armuchee, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at a Rome hospital. He was born in Floyd County on December 31, 1954, son of the late Robert and Robbie Patterson.

Mr. Patterson was senior vice-commander of the Sons of the American Legion of Calhoun, and was tirelessly involved in community charity work and civic organizations. He was employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Hardy Patterson; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jennifer Patterson of Dallas, GA; a brother, Colonel Terry Patterson (RET) and his wife Linda of Powder Springs; a sister, Cheryl Patterson and her husband Pete Blaise of Augusta; grandchildren, Bryson and Zachary Patterson; nephews, Connor Blaise and Billy Dondero; nieces, Olivia Blaise, Jennifer Dondero, Laura Patterson, Melody Wright, and Michelle Sceiver; and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Steve Patterson will be conducted Friday, July 2nd at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Marty Singleton and Pastor James Holder officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at Rosedale. Active pallbearers will include Duane Meek, Wayne Rogers, Lewis Dobson, Brian Dobson, and Mark Fennell. Honorary pallbearers will include all members of the Sons of the American Legion.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Patterson's name to the Sons of the American Legion.
