Stewart Jimmy Underwood

Mr. Stewart Jimmy Underwood, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Underwood was born on February 9, 1942 in Gordon County, son of the late Bert and Mossie Underwood.

Survivors are his wife, Ida Mae Adams Underwood of the residence; a son, Paul Underwood of Sugar Valley; two step-daughters, Rosa Reyes and her husband Oliaf of Calhoun, and Rita Williamson of North Carolina; a stepson, Ricky Lingerfelt and his wife Ida Mae of Cumming, GA; two sisters, Clemmie Pankey of Ranger, and Myrtle of Florida; and two brothers, J.P. Underwood of Kennesaw, and Tony Underwood of Calhoun. Fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Stewart Jimmy Underwood will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Delmar Ledford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will include Marcus Kenner, Oliaf Reyes, James Tippit, Aaron Tippit, Jamie Reyes and John Anderson.

At the request of Mr. Underwood, his body was cremated.
