Linda "Sue" Worley, 63, of Calhoun died on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Godon Hospital, following several weeks of declining health.
Sue was born in Gordon County on February 17, 1952. She was the daughter of the late William "Dink" and Biddie Azzilee Leatherwood Gallman. Sue was a graduate of Red Bud High School where she excelled in basketball. She had worked with Calhoun First National Bank, Georgia Bank and Trust, and, most recently, Gordon Hospital.
Survivors are her husband, Steve Worley, to whom she was married for forty-three years; her daughter, Ella Charisse Worley; her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Donnie Pearce; her sister-in-law and her husband, Phyllis and Jack Hensley; her nephews, Stacy Hensley, Kelly Hensley, Cody Hensley, Brodie Worley, Jason Pearce, Leslie Pearce, Justin Worley, and Andy Worley.
The Worley family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at New Town Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. from New Town Baptist Church. Rev. Walter Hare will officiate. Burial will follow at Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Nery Castillo, Kelly Hensley, Justin Worley, Gus Olmedo, Jason Pearce, and Leslie Pearce.
