Obituary

Sylvia Dean Crider peacefully gained her angel wings on February 4, 2018 at Morning Pointe in Calhoun, Georgia, where she has lived for the last eight years. Sylvia was born March 10, 1927, to Bill and Molly Silvers Dean in Gilmer County, Georgia, and was the youngest of eleven children.
Sylvia married Howard Calvin Crider on January 29, 1949. They had two children, Mike and Pam. Sylvia worked as a wife and mom in the home and helped Howard at Master Mat, Inc., whenever needed. After his death in 1982, Sylvia is remembered fondly as a hostess at Shepherd's Restaurant for many years. She also worked at many stores at Calhoun Outlet Mall. Over the years, Sylvia was very active at Echota, Salem, and Trinity Baptist Church where she remains a member.
Sylvia is preceded in death by parents, brothers and sisters, and her loving husband, Howard. Survivors include son, Mike Crider; daughter, Pam Parker; son-in-law, Jon Parker; grandson, Cal (Howard Calvin) Parker; and special nieces, Scottie Knight and Peggy Craig.
