Sylvia Cecelia Mann

Sylvia Cecelia Bohannon Plank Mann, 81, of Calhoun, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 21, 2024, following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Mann was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 9, 1943, the daughter of the late Tommy M. Bohannon and Sabra Delilah Hall Bohannon shell. She graduated from Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga, Georgia, was a Girl Scout Leader for 15 years, worked for the State of Georgia for 30 years, and was a member of Wesley Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Mr. Rodney Mann, who died on December 13, 2021; sisters Martha (Walter) Mealor, Vicki Copeland, Virginia (Larry) Farmer, and Irene Boling; two brothers, Joe Shell and Johnny Shell; and a grandson, Luke McNeil.

Survivors include four daughters, Cecilia (Tommy) McNeil, Kathy (Chris) Sibley, Tina (Ronnie) Jordan, and Andrea (Derek) Harvel; three sons, Mike (Teresa) Mann, Darryl Mann, and Travis Mann; ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters, lvadell  (Jack) O’linger, Tommy Ruth (Winfred) Massey, Sheneka (Jon) Land, and Wanda (Wendell) Garner; brother, Gene (Brenda) Bohannon; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

A service will be held in her memory on Saturday, November 23rd, at 2:00 PM at Wesley Chapel Church with Pastor Mark Lovell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
