Obituary
Mrs. Tammy Lynn (Burchett) Stevenson, 51, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at her residence following a brief illness.
Tammy was born in Floyd County, Georgia on June 22, 1969, daughter of Sarah Caldwell Burchett and the late Jerry Glenn Burchett. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law; Dorothy Stevenson in 2019.
Tammy was a loving wife and mother, she adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a licensed insurance agent, owned and operated Tammy Stevenson Insurance Agency along with her family who will continue to operate the business. Many of her friends will remember her love for photography and when she was a server at Big Johns Treat Shoppe for several years.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Jim Stevenson, two daughters; Paige (Mason) Puckett and Crystal Bunch, one son: Chris (Brittany) Dean, five grandchildren; Ethan, Evan and Lillian Bunch, Cole and Easton Dean, two sisters; Sarah (David ) James, Lora (John) Shaw, three brothers; Jerry (Marlene) Burchett, Mark (Rachael) Burchett and Clyde (Cindy) Burchett, father-in-law; James R. Stevenson along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tammy Burchett Stevenson will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Minister Frank Sierra officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving include; Joseph, Michael, TJ, Jackson and Bobby Burchett, Erik Coleman, Ethan Bunch and Evan Bunch. Honorary pallbearers serving include; Jill Carey, Sherry Childers, Billie Lowe, and Janet Hewitt.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 9th at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. And on Monday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Due to the national health crisis, crowd limitations may be enforced, and social distancing guidelines are to be followed. For anyone attending services, please wear a mask for the safety of everyone.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Center , 250 Williams St NW Atlanta, GA 30303 in Tammys memory. The family would like to give special thanks to Compassus Hospice for their love and care.
