Tammy Lynn Turner

Mrs. Tammy Lynn Turner, age 38 of Ranger, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at her residence following several years of declining health. She was born in Whitfield County on March 17, 1972, daughter of Robert L. Howerton, Sr. and the late Sherry Towe Chadwick. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by grandparents, Daniel L. Towe and Oscar and Johnnie Howerton, all of Calhoun.

Mrs. Turner had been employed by Essential Cabinets, and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father, Robert L. Howerton, Sr.; her husband of 4 years, John Carlton Turner; a son, Joshua Max Oliver of Calhoun; step-sons, John Carlton Turner, Jr., and Trent Turner, both of Calhoun; a daughter, Shelby Kate Oliver of Calhoun; a step-daughter, Cheyanne Turner of Calhoun; a brother, Robert L. Howerton, Jr. of Rome; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Robin and Chris Wallace of Rome, and Karen and Michael Camp of LaFayette. Other survivors include in-laws, Jerry and Carlene Turner; step-mother, Jamie Howerton of Rome; step-father, Jerry Lemons of Adairsville; maternal grandmother, Wylene Towe Bryan and Milburn; maternal aunts, Brenda Daniel and her husband William, Sheila Padgett and her husband Donald, and Pam Newton and her husband Joey; a maternal uncle, Randy Towe and his wife Phyllis; and a paternal aunt, Linda Aldridge. A nephew, Austin Camp and numerous cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tammy Lynn Turner will be conducted Thursday, April 29 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Gray, Rev. William Daniel, and Rev. Delmar Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Brandan Towe, Clifford Daniel, Timmy Daniel, Josh Maddox, Eric Woolum, and Lamar Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Camp, William Daniel, Randy Towe, and Jerry Turner.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
