Tanya Sheree Timms

Mrs. Tanya Sheree Timms, age 29 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008.

Tanya was born on May 25, 1979 in Floyd County, daughter of Coleman and Brenda Wilson Balliew of Calhoun. She was a member of the Newtown Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, AWANA Teacher, nursery worker and singer. She was a student at Dalton State College, and was employed at North Georgia Jaw Correction Center. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Joseph H. Wilson and by a grandfather-in-law, James Timms.

Survivors include her husband, Justin Raymond Timms of Calhoun; father and mother, Coleman and Brenda Balliew of Calhoun; one brother, Shane Pelfrey of Adairsville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mitchell and Linda Faye Timms of Calhoun, and brother-in-law, Kody Timms of Calhoun. Grandparents, Christine Balliew, Lola Ardell Wilson, J.W. and Mary Jean Ralston, and Joe and Barbara Gallman, all of Calhoun, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Tanya Sheree Timms will be conducted Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from the Newtown Baptist Church, with Rev. Clifford Free and Rev. Leroy Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers serving will include Jeffery Stover, Jackson Jordan, Kody Timms, Steve Glass, Larry Parker, Ryan Luckett, and Todd Gibbs. Honorary pallbearers will include Shane Pelfrey, Jamie Balliew, Stewart Balliew, Wayne Brown and the deacons of the Newtown Baptist Church. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at Newtown Baptist Church on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
