Telitha Gowens Johns

Mrs. Telitha "Teaky" Gowens Johns, 44, of Resaca died Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born on August 10, 1970, daughter of the late Larry Gowens.

Mrs. Johns worked for MFG Chemicals and was a member of Resaca Church of God. She was a loving wife and mother, she enjoyed singing in church, and she will be remembered for her friendliness and her ever-present smile. She wanted everyone to know that she has "gone home".

Survivors include her husband of twenty four years, Mitchell Johns; one son, Caleb Johns, two daughters, Brooke Johns and Bristol Johns, mother, Charlotte Evans Colson and step-father, Leon Colson; a brother Timothy Russell Gowens and his wife Susan; two sisters, Tina Lynn Lau and her husband Matt and Tammy Leigh Thomas and her husband Tommy; father-in-law, Max Johns and his wife Bobbie; mother-in-law, Lynn Kinsey and her husband Robert; sister-in-law, Michelle Burns; two brother-in-laws, Michael Johns and Jody Jarrett and Kimberly. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johns will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM from Resaca Church of God with Pastor Mitchell Gaston and Pastor Junior Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The Johns family will receive friends Friday, November 7 at Resaca Church of God from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
