Teresa Faye Long

Mrs. Teresa Faye Long, age 53 of Calhoun, died Saturday morning, December 08, 2007 at Gordon Hospital following several months of declining health.

Mrs. Long was born on February 27, 1954 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, daughter of the late Bill and Sue Simonton Grice. During her lifetime she was employed as an Accountant in the banking industry, and was a member of East Calhoun Church of God.

Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Gary Long, to whom she was married for 14 years. One daughter, Brooke Ramsey and her husband Mack of Calhoun; three sons, Daryel Edwards and his wife Samantha of Calhoun, Jimmy Edwards of Winder, and Jamie Long and his wife Ashley of Adairsville; three sisters, Betsy Forster, Christine Williams and Martha Garmon, all of Lilburn, Georgia; and six grandchildren, Taylor Edwards, Hannah Holland, Wesley Holland, Desiree Long, Robbie Long and Jamon Long. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Teresa Faye Long will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the East Calhoun Church of God, with Pastor Keith Reid and Pastor Chris Nesbitt officiating. Singing will be arranged by Hilda Harrison. Active pallbearers serving will include Gene Harrison, Shane Hensley, Jason Forster, Don Williams, Robbie Williams and Michael Yachikov. Honorary escorts will be Jamie Long and Grant Nesbitt. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday evening during the hours of 4:00pm until 9:00pm.
