Terrell Harris

Mr. Terrell Harris, age 76 of Owens Chapel Road, Calhoun, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Gordon County on December 26, 1935, son of the late Rembert and Cecil Harris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Richard Phillip Harris in 1988, and infant granddaughter Abbi Harris in 1993.

Terrell was a master gardener who loved the outdoors. He liked to whittle, and was well-known for his fish carved out of cedar with a cut-out cross, and making fine furniture in his shop. He loved all kinds of music, especially Southern Gospel and the old hymns.

Terrell was a long-time member of Antioch Baptist Church, and will be buried in the Antioch Cemetery beside his son Richard.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patsy Evans Harris; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Donna Harris; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Troy Parker, all of Calhoun; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Terrell Harris will be held Wednesday, October 17th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamar Bearden and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Harris family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
