Thad Johnson Baldwin Sr

Mr. Thad Johnson Baldwin, Sr., age 49 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Tate, GA on February 7, 1962, son of George Baldwin, Sr. and Nila Johnson Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Baldwin; and a brother-in-law, John Blair.

Before becoming disabled, he was employed as a tree surgeon, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his parents, George and Nila Baldwin of Calhoun; two sons, T.J. Baldwin and his wife Brandy, and Tracy Baldwin, all of Dalton; two daughters, Tabatha Baldwin, and Trina Baldwin and Tommy Bost, all of Canton; five brothers, Kenneth Baldwin and his wife Ruby of Ranger, Sam Baldwin of Decatur, George Baldwin, Jr. of Unadilla, David Baldwin and his wife Velvet of Calhoun, and Wade Baldwin and his wife Vivian of Calhoun; and three sisters, Tina Phipps and her husband Charles, Donna Blair, and Janice Clark and her husband Alford II, all of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Nicole and Dakota Stewart, Daniel Baldwin, Stepheny Smith, Trishell Smith, and Fantasia Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Thad Johnson Baldwin will be conducted Friday, April 1st at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Tracy Baldwin, James Priest, Dallas Bryant, Billy Clark III, Carl Gwin, Jeffery Talley, and Chris Garland. These gentlemen are requested to assemble at the funeral home Friday at 10:15am.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
