Obituary
Mr. Thomas Edward Pittman "Paw Paw Tom", 83, of 514 Old Highway 41 NW Adairsville, Georgia previously from Smyrna, Georgia passed away December 2, 2022. He was born in Rhine, Georgia on December 5, 1938, to the late Alec Pittman and Mamie Hillard. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Alma Singletary, and Sara "Bonnie" Pittman Cowart; his oldest brother Mertic Alex Pittman "MA", and the greatest heart break was losing his son Edward Watson Pittman in May 2016.
He retired from Lockheed Martin as a crane operator. Paw Paw Tom loved to fish and garden. He could grow anything and loved to share with his neighbors.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Pittman Carter and her husband Jerry Carter; grandchildren, Heather Carter Baker (Justin) of Adairsville, Tiffany Savincki (Stephen), and Justin Carter (Jennifer); great grand-grandchildren, Dylan Baker, Mackenzie Baker, Carleigh Baker, Ella Baker, Ashlyn Savincki, Loren Lannah, and Mason Carter; brothers, J.K. Pittman (Emma Mae) and Joe Skipper (Peggy); sister, Betty Brown (Gene); several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm from Fain Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Pallbearers are, Dylan Baker, Alex Pittman, Walker Pittman, Cecil Beggs, Gary Pittman, and Scott McGuire. Honorary pallbearer, Anthony Davis.
