Thomas Leon Adams Jr

Mr. Thomas Leon Adams, Jr., age 66 of the Nicklesville Community, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Adams was born on June 11, 1941 in Forsyth County, Georgia, son of the late Thomas Leon Adams, Sr. and Irene Sosebee Adams. Besides his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, Charles David Adams. He was employed as an automobile mechanic and attended the Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Evelyn Adams; one son, Bobby Adams and his wife, Madge; five daughters, Diane Lanier and her husband Gary, Norma Lindenfelser and her husband Jody, Cindy Almond and her husband Jerry, Brenda Ratliff, and Vickey Adams; one brother, Henry Adams; and three sisters, Dorothy Pirkle, Maybell Underwood and her husband Stewart, and Lee Clara Watkins and her husband James; and grandchildren, Christy McNabb, Alicia Reed, April Purdin, Michael Cox, Anthony Cox, Amanda Cox, Adam Hamrick, Jody (Jo) Lindenfelser, Matthew Lindenfelser, Thomas Whaley, Henry Pegg, Chourtney Adams, Taylor Adams, Hayley Adams, Andrew Adams and Kaylee Adams. Fourteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive, along with best friends, Bill and Donna Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Leon Adams, Jr. will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Delmar Ledford officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Matthew Lindenfelser, Joe Lindenfelser, Michael Cox, Anthony Cox, Thomas Whaley, Henry Pegg and Adam Hamrick. Interment will follow the service at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Sunday after 6:00pm.
