Thomas Wayne Stanfield

Mr. Thomas Wayne Stanfield, 75, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Calhoun Healthcare following several months of declining health. He was born in Sylacauga, Alabama on October 23, 1938; son of the late Thomas Allen Stanfield and Hazel Matthews Stanfield. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stanfield was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel (Sonny) Stanfield; his sister, Recie Carlie Stanfield; and two grandsons, Jody and Josh Cochran.

Mr. Stanfield was a graduate of Red Bud High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Dyer (Don) Lyerly, GA, Priscilla Coach, Patricia West, and Yvette Sales; his son, Terry Erwin of Adairsville, GA; and three sisters, Sue (Ken) Hensley, Rebecca (Richard) Blalock, and Martha Millsaps of Calhoun. Several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Mr. Stanfields body will be cremated and there will be no services.
