Tinie L. Greeson

Mrs. Tinie L. Greeson, age 92 of Resaca, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009 at Calhoun Health Care following an extended illness. She was born in Chattooga County, GA on May 10, 1917, daughter of the late John Walter Hix and Elugna Chapman Hix. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Martin Charles Greeson in 1995; two sons-in-law, Jimmy Hogsed in 1987, and Max Stewart in 2009; and nine brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Greeson was retired from the textile industry, and was a member of the Higher Praise Church of God.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Peggy Greeson of Resaca; and three daughters, Wanda Stewart, Linda Cagle and her husband Allen, and Edna Hogsed, all of Resaca. Ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tinie L. Greeson will be conducted Wednesday, December 9th at 2:00pm from the Higher Praise Church of God, with Rev. Jimmie Timms, Rev. Terry Timms, and Rev. Jimmy Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Neil Stewart, Marty Cagle, Ray Bagley, Gary Bailey, Danny Greeson, and Matthew Greeson.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
