Tommy Langston

Mr. Thomas Lamar "Tommy" Langston, age 68 of the Sonoraville community, Calhoun, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his residence following several months of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on November 27, 1943, son of the late L.T. and Ruth Langston. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Leatha Nola.

Mr. Langston was retired as a self-employed contractor.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sandra Gail Crunkelton Langston of the residence; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Mealor, Regina and Michael King, and Kasey and Samuel Wilson, all of Calhoun; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Geraldine Langston of Marietta, and Richard and Faye Langston of Calhoun; and two sisters, Annette Johns, and Judy Duvall and her husband Randy, both of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Kendra Hyde, Kirbi Hyde, Logan King, and Levus King. Two great-grandchildren, Easton Robinson and Sawyer Robinson; and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Lamar "Tommy" Langston will be held Thursday, December 8th at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamar Bearden and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers are Jeff Langston, Tim Langston, Ty Frady, Mike Langston, Dale Langston, and Dicky Langston. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Langston and Rodney Duvall.

The Langston family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
